I keep getting copyrighted for random songs even though I'm only using the same samples as them in my music. How can I stop this from happening?

Comments

It depends on who "them" are.
The samples might require a license fee before you are allowed to use them legally. Check the ToS from the place where you got the samples - or whatever original source you sampled from. Situations like these are often (but not always) 'legal' issues, rather than artistic ones...

"them" refers to the songs I keep getting copyrighted for. I got the sample from a sample pack as a freebie from Cymatics.fm and I'm pretty sure they do not make you pay any fees.

@PurpleMusic15 When I navigate to https://cymatics.fm, the first I see is an offer for discounts.

I'll leave further investigation to you, but I think we might have just found the culprit...

A few days after I signed up for Cymatics, I got an Email containing several paid (I think) sample packs for free.

Cymatics says their samples are all royalty-free

@PurpleMusic15 Oh! I'm not 100% certain how the interface of the 'appeal form' looks, but if that is the case, you should host a screenshot of that email somewhere online (not NG - it would get removed before any Audio Moderator sees it), and then link to that screenshot in your appeal. [Black out names and email-addresses!]

We get an obscene number* of tracks with various rights issues on NG, so the Moderators cannot play private investigator in every case. But this might genuinely be a case where an appeal might get your track(s) republished.

That being said: Prepare for it to take several days to hear from them. The 'GD-crowd' tends to upload more plagiarized tracks on the weekend, so our moderation team has their hands full.

Sorry, I replied to your 'email comment' before I saw he last one.

In that case, I do not know. An appeal still seem a good route, but asking in the 'Audio' sub-forum might get you more insights into the issue:
